ACLU Case Number: 2001-17
Description: The ACLU filed this lawsuit under the Colorado Open Meetings Act on behalf of members of the Free Speech Defense Committee, who were barred from attending meetings of the Citizens Advisory Council that was established by the Jefferson County District Attorney.
The case was filed in March 2002. In July 2002, the district court ruled against the ACLU's position. The Colorado Court of Appeals affirmed in October, 2003.
