Media and the Press
Committee for the Study of the American Electorate (link has changed)
Founded 20 years ago, the Committee has become the primary source of information and analysis on citizen registration and voter participation, and a primary source on related issues including but not limited to: registration laws and their impact on participation; campaign advertising; campaign finance; the impact of media on politics; and citizen education.
Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR)
FAIR is the national media watch group that offers well-documented criticism of media bias and censorship. We seek to invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater diversity in the press. We scrutinize media practices that marginalize public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints.
Freedom Forum
The Freedom Forum is a nonpartisan, international foundation dedicated to free press, free speech and free spirit for all people. The foundation pursues its priorities through conferences, educational activities, publishing, broadcasting, online services, fellowships, partnerships, training, research and other programs.
WorldVillage’s Page on Parental Control of the Internet
WorldVillage is very concerned with the proliferation of indecency available to minors who use the internet. We are also concerned with government attempts to regulate the internet, especially as they relate to the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. To this end, we believe that empowering and educating parents is the key to protecting our children on the internet.
