Faisal Salahuddin has been a practicing attorney in Colorado since 2009. During that time, he was recognized by 5280 Magazine (Top Civil Rights Attorney) and Thomson Reuters (Super Lawyer) for his legal work against abusive police practices in state and federal court. Faisal began his legal career as a Deputy State Public Defender in El Paso County and then in Arapahoe County, handling felony and misdemeanor cases. Since 2008, he has trained attorneys and law students across Colorado on various aspects of trial work. In addition to his board service, Faisal serves on the ACLU Speaker's Bureau and Pro Bono Associate Counsel. In 2022, Faisal became the Chair of the ACLU of Colorado Legal Panel.
