Kara Narberes was hired as the Paralegal for the ACLU of Colorado in July 2025. Prior to joining the ACLU, she worked as a paralegal in Tucson, AZ. Kara graduated from the University of Arizona in 2022 with dual degrees in Political Science with an emphasis in Law and Public Policy and Statistics and Data Science with a Minor in Economics. As a member of the University’s Honors College, she produced a thesis titled: Survey of Public Opinion on Public Education Funding in Arizona. Kara worked as a Voter Turnout Fellow for the Progressive Turnout Project during the 2020 election cycle, encouraging Arizona voters to engage with politics. Kara is incredibly excited to help the ALCU of Colorado’s legal department continue their essential work, defending the civil rights of people across the state.
Outside of work, Kara enjoys going to cafes - drinking coffee, eating pastries, and yapping with friends. She is excited to explore the hiking and camping opportunities around Denver. Kara is also an avid reader, mainly of literary and contemporary fiction novels, as well as fantasy and science fiction.
