Weld County Chapter Now Active

ACLU of Colorado is proud to announce that the Weld County Chapter recently received a re-instatement after a number of dormant years. Chapter Chair Elaine Schmidt and a crew of volunteers have been active over the last year in their community.

Chapter volunteers have offered several educational opportunities for the public. In March, Sue Armstrong, Executive Director of ACLU of Colorado, spoke to more than 30 activists on "The Un-Patriotic USA PATRIOT Act". The Chapter has received press coverage for their activism and have subsequently recruited a number of new ACLU members.
