Memorials

A donation to the ACLU Foundation of Colorado Memorial Gift Program is an excellent way to honor the memory of a friend, a family member, or a civil libertarian you admire. Your Memorial Gift helps us provide the many defenses of civil liberties here in Colorado and nationally as well. There can be no better way to remember your loved ones than by helping to make the future - our future - a more free place in their honor.

When you make a donation to the ACLU Foundation of Colorado Memorial Gift Program, the person you designate receives a handwritten memorial card naming the person in whose memory the gift has been made. It also lists your name as the thoughtful donor (although the amount of your gift remains confidential). You will also receive a receipt for your 100% tax deductible gift.

If you'd like to honor someone special with a gift to the ACLU Foundation of Colorado Memorial Gift Program, please call or write to Joe Mauro at ACLU of Colorado and give us your name and address, the name and address of the person to be notified, and your donation.

Are You DeSilver Society Material?

The DeSilver Society was created to honor those individuals who have made bequest intentions and other legacy gifts to support the future defense of civil liberties. By naming the ACLU of Colorado in your will, you can create a legacy that reflects your commitment to the ACLU's defense of civil rights and civil liberties. All ACLU members are invited to join The DeSilver Society to provide "future freedom-fighters" with the resources needed to continue the fight to preserve and protect the Bill of Rights.
