"Balancing Liberty and Security" Forum a Huge Success

ACLU's November community forum and "continuing legal education" event attracted one of the largest audiences ACLU of Colorado has drawn - and appropriately so! Panelists Akbar Thobhani, professor of African and Middle Eastern studies at Metropolitan State College of Denver, Mohamed Jodeh, from the Colorado Muslim society, Martin Katz, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Denver College of Law, Karen Steinhauser, Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Denver College of Law, and Paul Viotti, professor at DU's Graduate School of International Studies and President of the Denver Council on Foreign Relations engaged the audience in a thoughtful and lively discussion surrounding threats to civil liberties post-9/11.
