Anaya Robinson is a Latinx disabled queer trans man. Born and raised in West Michigan, he has called Denver home for over a decade. He served two AmeriCorps terms after moving to Colorado, one with Mile High Youth Corps on a chainsaw crew, and one with Rebuilding Together Metro Denver ensuring that Denver Metro homeowners could age in place safely and comfortably. After AmeriCorps, Anaya began working in disability advocacy and is currently the Associate Director of Atlantis Community, Inc. Anaya is also one of three co-founders of Transformative Freedom Fund, a non-profit based in Denver that provides financial support for transition related healthcare to trans and non-binary Coloradans. He has been working in advocacy with a systems focus for nearly a decade, and has nine years of non-profit management experience. Anaya firmly believes that collectively working from an intersectional anti-oppressive lens is the only way to fully dismantle systems of privilege and power and achieve true equity and justice.
