After completing her yearlong fellowship, Kelly became the Research & Analytics Assistant at the ACLU of Colorado in July 2022. She conducts policy research and data analysis that fuels the ACLU’s campaign and policy priorities. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kelly interned at the Hong Kong legislature for two summers conducting policy research and field work. In the 2019 Hong Kong election, she worked for a pro-democracy candidate who defeated the 6-time incumbent. Kelly first came to the United States in 2017 for her sociology studies at Colorado College. She later interned at the ACLU of Colorado focusing on criminal legal reform policies and at Governor Polis’ office assisting the #VaccineForAll initiative. Outside of work, you can find Kelly working with Hongkonger-American groups to build community and assist new immigrants, growing herbs and succulents as well as trying out new recipes with her husband John.
