El proyecto de ley admite excepciones a la prohibici\u00f3n de una diferencia salarial seg\u00fan el sexo si el empleador prueba que la diferencia salarial se encuentra en funci\u00f3n de uno o m\u00e1s factores, que abarcan:\n\n<ul><li>Un sistema de antig\u00fcedad;<\/li><li>Un sistema de m\u00e9ritos; o<\/li><li>Un sistema que determina el salario seg\u00fan cantidad o calidad de la producci\u00f3n. El proyecto de ley proh\u00edbe que un empleador:<\/li><li>Busque el historial de salarios de un posible trabajador;<\/li><li>Se base en un salario anterior para definir un salario;<\/li><li>Discrimine o tome represalias contra un posible trabajador por no divulgar el historial de salarios del trabajador; y<\/li><li>Despida o tome represalias contra un trabajador por las acciones de un empleado que defiende los derechos que establece el proyecto de ley contra un empleador. <\/li><\/ul>\n\nEl proyecto de ley exige que un empleador comunique a todos los trabajadores las oportunidades de promoci\u00f3n laboral y vacantes y el rango salarial para las vacantes.
