Annie Kurtz joins the ACLU of Colorado’s legal team as an Equal Justice Works Fellow. Sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP, Annie’s fellowship project centers community-led strategic litigation and advocacy calling for a humane response to homelessness in Colorado. Before joining the ACLU, Annie served for two years as law clerk and judicial assistant to Justice Monica M. Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court. Annie graduated from Harvard Law School, where she worked as a student attorney and, later, as a clinical instructor at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, representing low-income clients in eviction, foreclosure, family law, public benefits, wage and hour, and SIJS cases. Prior to law school, Annie worked as a litigation and research assistant at GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) in Boston. She appreciates a good cup of coffee, the mountains, her wife, and their 120-pound lapdog.
