Mahima Chaudhary joined the ACLU of Colorado as a Paralegal in September of 2023. Before this role, she worked as a Paralegal at Kostelanetz LLP, a tax and criminal defense firm located in Washington, D.C.

Mahima graduated from Georgetown University in May 2020 with a major in economics and a minor in public health. While at Georgetown, she interned at the Environmental Law Institute and the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, conducting research, publication, and investigative work. Mahima also served as the Director of Advocacy for the Georgetown chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and tutored inmates at the Arlington County Detention Facility. Additionally, she spent one year at the London School of Economics, studying economics and medical law. During her time in the UK, she volunteered as a legal analyst for the Disability Law Service to promote equitable access to inpatient mental health care.

Having lived in the Washington, D.C. metro area for most her life, Mahima enjoys exploring all that Colorado has to offer. She likes to spend her free time rock climbing, running, reading, and attending comedy shows.
