Bio
Aisha Nammari is a strong proponent for LGBTQ+ inclusion and access. Through her work advocating for an accessible and inclusive workplace at the University of Colorado, she has developed strong organizing skills, allowing her to push for meaningful change. She works towards resolving issues of inequity with a combination of coalition building, advocacy, and her own steadfast determination. She believes that ensuring equitable access to education and opportunities is essential to making a more just world.
Aisha was a founding member of her workplace's diversity and climate committee, and served for 6 years, including two as chair. Additionally she founded and has led the LGBT affinity group at her workplace.
She has a masters degree in Electrical Engineering and professionally works as an engineer developing space flight hardware and mentoring students to support the next generation of engineers.
