Velveta Golightly-Howell, J.D., M.P.A., Member-At-Large

Velveta Golightly-Howell, a graduate of The Tuskegee Institute, Colorado University (CU) School of Law, and the CU Graduate School of Public Affairs, is a former federal senior executive with a Civil Rights-focused portfolio. Velveta, a four decades long legal practitioner, devotes her time, talents, and experience to enhancing communities. She is co-chair of ACLU of Colorado’s nominating committee, a past active member of the affiliate’s governance and personnel committees, and the At-Large Representative to the Executive Committee. Understanding the critical missions of ACLU of Colorado and their importance, Velveta views her role as a Board Director as an honor.
