Under current law, a secondary school teacher who has sexual contact with a student who is 18 years of age or older may not have committed a crime.

The bill prohibits the state and any of its departments, institutions, or agencies (state) from making it a condition of employment that an employee or a prospective employee execute a contract or other form of agreement

The bill makes conforming amendments and includes a cleanup of the main definition section for title 19 to reflect changes made through the reorganization of article 2 of title 19.
