ACLU Celebrates Tattered Cover Court Decision
ACLU Foundation of Colorado joined the American Booksellers Association's Foundation for Free Expression, Tattered Cover owner Joyce Meskis, privacy advocates and a host of First Amendment supporters in celebrating the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling protecting the privacy of book purchasers. In a unanimous decision handed down Monday morning, April 8, the Court recognized the rights of the general public to purchase books anonymously without government interference.

ACLU of Colorado Files Class Action Lawsuit Challenging Denver Police Spyfiles on Peaceful Protest Activities
The American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Colorado (ACLU) filed a class action lawsuit today challenging the Denver Police Department's practice of monitoring and recording the peaceful protest activities of Denver-area residents, keeping files on the expressive activities of law-abiding advocacy organizations, and sharing those files with third parties.
