Bio
Armania Heckenmueller is a rising 3L at the University of Colorado Law School with a strong interest in civil rights litigation, particularly First Amendment and habeas issues. This past semester, she worked in the Criminal Immigration Clinic, where she gained hands-on experience representing clients navigating both the criminal and immigration court systems. That work, combined with her experience as a research assistant for Helen Norton researching the intersection of artificial intelligence and the First Amendment, solidified Armania’s commitment to pursuing a career in civil rights litigation.
She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2022 (go Bearcats and Bengals!). Outside of law school, Armania enjoys spending time with her dog Frankie, reading thrillers and historical fiction, watching Survivor, and exploring the city with her girlfriend.
