Bio
Shannon Long was hired as a legal intern with the ACLU of Colorado for the summer of 2026. Shannon is a Chancellor's Scholar currently pursuing her J.D. at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She recently completed a full year as a student attorney in the Immigration Law and Policy Clinic representing detained clients in Aurora, CO. Prior to law school, Shannon worked in emergency, temporary shelters at the U.S.-Mexico border. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022 with a B.A. in Plan II Honors and a Bachelor of Social Work. Shannon is thrilled to learn about impact litigation from the incredible attorneys at the ACLU of Colorado. For fun, Shannon likes to go thrift shopping and spend time with her friends. She also loves to spend any time she can under the sun!
