This lawsuit, filed in conjunction with the ACLU National Prison Project, seeks compensation for Robin Darbyshire, a pre-trial detainee who was sexually assaulted by an employee of a privately owned prisoner transport company during a four-day extradition. Defendants include Extraditions International, based in Commerce City, Colorado, and Richard Almendarez, the guard accused of perpetrating the assault.
