The ACLU of Colorado seeks an Undergraduate Multimedia Intern in the Communications Department of the affiliate office in Denver, Colorado. This internship is a hybrid position.
Qualifying applicants must currently be an undergraduate student, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and must be based in the Denver metro area for the duration of the internship.
Summary of Position
Multimedia and communications students are encouraged to apply for a summer 2026 multimedia intern position with the ACLU of Colorado located in Denver, Colorado. The multimedia communications intern would work with the Communications department of the affiliate. The multimedia communications intern should expect to work part-time (20 hours/week) for up to 24 weeks for the duration of summer and into fall 2026. The communications intern will work with the director of communications to set summer hours and adjust fall hours to accommodate a class schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
Students interning with the ACLU of Colorado will gain experience with many different communications responsibilities including writing, graphic design, social media content creation, photography, video production, and more.
Qualifications
ACLU of Colorado prefers students who are currently attending college or university with a major, or focus of study, on communications and/or multimedia production and have a demonstrated interest in civil rights, civil liberties and social justice. They must demonstrate excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Hybrid Schedule
ACLU of Colorado currently has a hybrid work model that requires staff to work in the office at least 2 days per week and staff may work remotely or in the office the other 3 days.
Compensation
ACLU of Colorado will compensate successful intern applicants at a rate of $24/hour that will be paid over the course of the internship as wages, subject to withholding.
